With an all-star line-up, featuring a double cast of actors and activists sharing the same stage: Reverend Mariama White Hammond as Fannie Lou Hamer, Musa-kulla Massaquoi as Queen of Sheba, Makeda. Also returning to the stage is Sisi JeanBabtiste and Sajdah Benjamin as Khabirah the Great among others.

313WON Productions presents the 2nd season of our signature play “It’s About Time. The play follows Khabirah the Great, a teenager who struggles with the importance of her human identity after getting a whiff of some racially heightened tension during a tough presidential election year. Her family on the way to Kwanzaa is mulled over by a mob of angry protestors and Khabirah the Great gets separated from them spinning into time travel. She ends up in 9th Century with Queen of Sheba, Makeda and then into 12th Century with Emperor Mansa Musa of Mali and then onto the 1960’s Civil Rights Movement to meet with Fannie Lou Hamer.
