African Arabian Nights at the Beach

August 13th, 2022 Natasket Beach, Hull MA

This amazing full moon sacred event is designed to connect onlookers with the stunning folklore and vibrant colors and diverse perspectives within Al-Islam, particularly from the African Diaspora. The event included live contemporary music, maritime poetry, cultural attire, Arabic recitation, historic story telling, open conversations about stigmas associated with water and original henna. Art featuring Muslims around the world was shared. Competitions were held for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Co-sponsored by the Friends of Nantasket Beach and Parent’s Management Inc. Funded through the Better Beaches Grant of Save the Harbor, Save the Bay and the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR).
